Pune: 16-Year-Old Educationist Radhika Gupta Awarded Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero India 2021
Pune, 12th December 2021: Radhika Gupta, 16 years old educationist from Uttar Pradesh has been awarded the title of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero India 2021.
Glocal Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with CYDA (the India Partner) announced the winner of the third edition of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero India 2021 amidst the awarding ceremony at The O Hotel, North Main Road, Koregaon Park, Pune, on 10th December.
Radhika is a passionate and empathetic person who believes in providing quality education and experiential learning to underprivileged children. She is featured by Hindustan Times about her life journey and decisions, interviewed by Radio FM about her journey as a self-directed learner. She is also a YouTuber and owns a channel named “An & Ra” and creates different meaningful content for teenagers.
Likewise, she hosts interviews with various teenagers and features their inspirational stories on her YouTube channel.
Glocal Teen Hero is the platform for teenagers to identify and honor outstanding teenagers whose creativity, commitment, experience, and strong leadership have helped them achieve success in an increasingly challenging environment. This award recognizes and honors the exceptional teen whose work is sustainable and who can think out of the box addressing the issues and creating an impact in society.
Fostering a collaborative community among recipients and strengthening national recognition of today’s young leaders is a primary goal of the Glocal Teen Hero Award.
With the aim to initiate Glocal Teen Hero all over South Asia, Glocal has moved this opportunity to South Asian Teenagers for their encouragement and development. India is the first country to host the Glocal Teen Hero franchise.
Monishwaran Maheswaran, Young Innovator was the winner of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero India, 2019, and Vivaan Kabir, Youth Activist was the winner of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero India 2020. And, the winner for the third edition of Wai Wai Glocal Teen Hero India, 2021 was announced today amidst the virtual award gala ceremony.
Asish Thakur, Executive Director at Glocal Pvt. Ltd. shared, “Glocal Teen Hero India has been a great platform for Indian teenagers to network with delegates from various industries in India. It is an opportunity of a lifetime, not only to the winner but all the applicants, finalists and other teenagers to develop themselves through networking, collaboration, and pooling of opportunities.”
This year’s competition received 173 applications, from fascinating teenagers of India demonstrating the diverse potential of their initiation, skills, and expertise, and made an impact in their society. Out of total applications for Glocal Teen Hero India, the selection was based on their resume, the evidence, and an essay on their accomplishment.
In order to bring fantastic teenagers together; Glocal Pvt. Ltd has partnered with Wai Wai as a title sponsor and CYDA as an Indian Partner and Youth Aid as a Partner for the third edition of the program.
