Pune: 168 COVID patients discharged, 87 new Corona cases detected today
Pune, May 13, 2020: Till 9 pm today, a total of 168 patients were discharged from hospitals in Pune city after being cured of the Coronavirus. Also, 87 new patients were detected while seven persons lost their lives today. The number of cured patients is now increasing rapidly.
According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total tally of patients since March 9 has reached 2824 today out of which 168 have died while 1377 have been cured. There are still 1284 active patients in hospitals including 115 critical patients. Also, 32 of them are on ventilator support. Today swab samples of 1205 people were collected for testing. Till date, 25953 persons’ swabs have been tested in the PMC area.
Among the seven deaths, there were three men and four women, all between age groups 42 to 70 years. They were from Gultekdi, Lohiyanagar (Ganj Peth), Laxminagar (Yerwada), Tadiwala Road, Ramtekdi, Raj Chowk (Yerwada) and Sayyadnagar (Hadapsar). They all had other ailments also besides COVID19.
