Pune : 19 Bangladeshi Nationals Living Illegally In India Arrested From Budhwar Peth, Case Registered

Pune 1st Sept 2023: The Pune City Police’s Social Security Cell has arrested 19 Bangladeshi nationals from the city for illegally staying in India. The arrested accused include 10 women involved in prostitution in Budhwar Peth area and 9 men who were working in different professions in the city.

 

According to police, the officials of Social Security Cell had received information about some foreign nationals residing illegally in Budhwar Peth area. Accordingly, the police team raided the area and apprehended them. It was revealed that none of the arrested accused had valid documents to stay in India. They had entered illegally in the country from India-Bangladesh border.

 

The police said that the accused were staying in the area for the last three months. They have been arrested under relevant sections by the police and a case in this regard has been registered at Faraskhana Police Station. Further investigation in the matter is underway.
