Pune: 2 Killed, 7 Injured In Accident Near Navale Bridge

Pune, November 29, 2020: A tragic accident took place near Navale bridge on the Mumbai-Bengaluru highway today evening. Seven people were seriously injured and two persons died in the accident.

According to the police, a truck was heading towards Mumbai from Satara around 6.30 pm today. The truck driver lost control over the wheels due to brakes failure and the truck hit eight vehicles – autorickshaws, two-wheelers and four-wheelers. All the vehicles were badly damaged in the collision. The truck had caught fire which was doused by Pune fire brigade. The injured persons have been admitted to the hospital.

The deceased has been identified as Rajendra Murldihar Gadhve (65) of Ambegaon Pathar and Prashant Madhukar Gore (32) of Panvel.

Sinhgad Road police station has detained the truck driver Premaram Bishnoi of Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
