Pune: 2017-Batch IAS Officer Prajit Nair Takes Charge as PMC Additional Commissioner (Estate)
Pune, 3rd April 2026: Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officer Prajit Nair on Friday assumed charge as the Additional Municipal Commissioner (Estate) of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
Nair, a 2017-batch IAS officer, formally took over the responsibilities of the post at the civic headquarters.
Before his new appointment in Pune, Nair served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Sindhudurg Zilla Parishad. During his career, he has also held key administrative positions including Sub-Divisional Officer at Jawhar in Palghar district and District Collector of Gondia.
Speaking after assuming charge, Nair said efforts would be made to introduce new initiatives aimed at supporting Pune’s development and improving civic administration.
