Pune: 24 Hours Free Autorickshaw Ambulance Service Launched For Covid-19 Patients

Pune, 5th May 2021: As the number of Covid-19 patients is rising in the city, the current number of the ambulance is insufficient to cater to the need. Considering this situation the health service and the Maharashtra Rickshaw Panchayat has launched a ’24 hours free rickshaw ambulance’ initiative.

 

This activity will continue till May 15 for Covid-19 patients.

Under the Arogya Sena Mission Covid Mahasath 20-21, relief work was carried out in five states of the country last year. As a next step, on the occasion of Maharashtra and Labor Day on May 1st, the 24 hours free service of 102 rickshaw ambulances have been started for Covid-19 patients in Pune city with the help of Maharashtra Rickshaw Panchayat.

 

Recently a meeting was held between the Founder and National Head of Arogya Sena, Dr Abhijit Vaidya, and Maharashtra Rickshaw Panchayat office bearers. On behalf of the Panchayat, the organisation’s Pune City Working President Shafiq Patel, Vice President Arshad Ansari, Advisor Kumar Shete, Murad Qazi were present at the meeting.

 

Both the organizations have expressed their intention to add 100 more rickshaws to the participating rickshaws.
