Pune: 24-Year-Old Man Beaten To Death On Suspicion Of Theft

Manchar, 16th August 2021: A 24-year-old man was beaten to death, on suspicion of theft. The man was identified as Vicky Ganpat Bhosle.

Based on a complaint from Martand aka Yogesh Ganpat Bhosle, an FIR has been registered against Ganesh Borhade, Santosh Jadhav, Sarthak Valse and Pintu aka Ravindra Thorat.

According to the information given by police, around 8-9 pm on the night of 14th August, the accused thrashed the deceased over the suspicion of theft at a Kirana Store of the accused at Mulewadi road in Manchar. Vicky was thrashed with a wooden stick, cricket bat and belt.

He was later admitted to the sub-district hospital in Manchar, where the doctor gave him the primary treatment and advised the family to shift him to Pune for further treatment. While on the way to Pune, he stopped responding and was brought to a government hospital at Chakan where he was declared dead by doctors.

Sub-divisional police officer Anil Lambhate visited the place where the incident occurred and instructed the police officers for further investigation. The case is being investigated by Police inspector Balwant Mandge and assistant Police inspector Somshekhar Shete.
