Mohammadwadi/Pune, 15th May 2026: The inauguration of newly constructed water storage tanks under the 24×7 Water Supply Project will be held on Sunday, May 17, at 1 pm at Ghule Chowk near Dorabjee Mall.

The project is expected to bring long-awaited relief to residents of Mohammadwadi, Undri and the NIBM area, who have been facing persistent water supply issues for several years.

The inauguration will be performed by Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. MLC Yogesh Tilekar, House Leader Ganesh Bidkar, Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram, Additional Commissioner (Special) Omprakash Divte, along with local representatives, reviewed the preparations for the event.

Earlier in the day, Mayor Manjusha Nagpure inspected the venue and reviewed arrangements for the inauguration programme. Officials said the event is being organised on a large scale due to the significance of the project in improving the city’s water distribution system.

The 24×7 Water Supply Project aims to ensure uninterrupted water supply to rapidly growing residential pockets in Pune’s southern corridor, particularly Mohammadwadi, Undri and surrounding NIBM areas.
