Pune, 1 August 2020: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has started antigen testing centre in Peth area. The test gives a result within 30 minutes about Coronavirus disease (COVID19).

PMC Additional Commissioner Rubal Agarwal tweeted, “PMC started antigen testing center in peth area. 850 Shopkeepers tested #laxmiroad. out of 850 Shopkeepers 26 found positive and isolated.. Thanks Ranka ji , Pithaliya ji and Pune Vyapari mahasang”.

The traders’ body has come forward to assist PMC in testing the shopkeepers as people have started coming in large numbers for shopping. As per the latest lockdown order of PMC, the shops are allowed to open from 9 am to 7 pm. 

Yesterday 818 new COVID patients were found in Pune city, taking the total number of patients to 54,255. Till now 35,123 patients have recovered while 1185 have died.
