Pune: 3094 new Corona patients in Pune district, 59 deaths

Pune, August 1, 2020: With the addition of 3094 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 84,765 in Pune district. Also, 1501 patients got discharged from hospitals while 59 people died.

 

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 84,765 patients 53951 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 1981 people have died. There are still 28779 active patients undergoing treatment including 808 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 4,46,933 people have been tested in the district.

 

The 84765 patients include 53509 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 21,569 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 809 from Pune Cantonment, 610 from Khadki Cantonment, 301 from Dehuroad Cantonment, 6139 from Pune rural areas and 1828 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district. In the Pune rural areas and Nagar Parishad, there are 91 from Baramati town, 339 from Daund town, 41 from Jejuri, 225 from Talegaon Dabhade, 285 from Chakan, 251 from Saswad, 64 from Lonavala, 80 from Shirur town, 124 from Alandi, 59 from Junnar town, 59 from Indapur town, 21 from Bhor town, 45 from Vadgaon, 144 from Rajguru Nagar, 2448 from Haveli, 367 from Junnar rural, 320 from Shirur, 617 from Mulshi, 137 from Velha, 185 from Bhor, 39 from Baramati rural,126 from Indapur rural, 248 from Daund rural, 398 from Maval, 746 from Khed, 232 from Purandar and 276 from Ambegaon.

 

Across Maharashtra, 10,320 fresh COVID19 cases were reported yesterday while 7543 people got discharged from hospitals yesterday. Also, 265 deaths have been reported in the state yesterday. The total number of positive cases is now 422,118 including 2,56,158 discharged and 14,994 deaths. There are 1,50,662 active cases. The recovery rate in Maharashtra is 60.68% now.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 1,695,988 across the country. Out of this, 1,094,374 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 36,511 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 565,103 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
