Pune: 260 Colleges Get Notices For Not Disbursing Scholarship Amount

Pune, December 23, 2020: As many as 260 colleges from Pune district have got notices for not disbursing the scholarship amount among the reserved category students. The colleges avoided giving information about the students and so the notices were sent to them.

The Social Welfare Department sent notices to the colleges. “Colleges had to respond to the notice within five days”, said assistant commissioner Sangeeta Davkhar.

Students from financially weaker section get the scholarship from Centre and State so that their education does not get hampered. The colleges, however, had to inform the Social Welfare about the number of students so that the State can compensate the amount to the colleges.
