Pune: 30 Unauthorized Constructions Removed By PCMC; Order Of Commissioner Posted On Road To Stop Further Encroachments
Pimpri, 18th January 2023: Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation C ward office, through the Anti-Encroachment Team, took eviction action on an unauthorized commercial paper shed/construction on an area of about 65,000 square feet in Moi Phata Group No 218 falling within the affected area of DP Road between Kudalwadi, Chikhli Road Near Group No 16, 17 and 18.
Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation C ward office, Anti-Encroachment Team, under the direction of Commissioner Shekhar Singh, Additional Commissioner Pradip Jambhale and City Engineer Makarand Nikam, Assistant Commissioner Anna Bodade, Deputy Engineer Suryakant Mohite, Junior Engineer Sandeep Vaidya and Head of Anti-Encroachment Team Santosh Shirasath, Beat Inspector Yogesh Shewalkar, Sadhana Thombre carried out the operation.
Similarly, in Kudalwadi, Chikhli Group No 197 and 198 between Group No 16, 17, and 18 Dehu – Alandi Road and Moi Phata Group No 218, a total of 43 unauthorized commercial Sheds/Constructions were given notices through Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), out of them, 13 commercial steel Patra sheds/constructions were removed by the concerned persons and PCMC took the action on the remaining 30 unauthorized commercial sheds/constructions.
In this operation carried out today, the C ward office Encroachment Squad, Maharashtra Security Force, and Maharashtra Police Squad were involved. Every day anti-encroachment action is being carried out in different parts of the city.
Citizens should not set up unauthorized stalls and sheds on roads. Also, cooperate to keep the footpaths clean, as per the direction of the Commissioner, no unauthorized littering/construction should be done at the place where the said action has been taken. A message board has been posted at the places stating the same warning.
