The deceased has been identified as Ranjit Chhotan Mishra, a resident of Vadgaon Sheri. Police Constable Ashok Mane filed a complaint, following which a case was registered against truck driver Ramu Ramkishor Verma of Uttar Pradesh, as well as against the biker under relevant sections.
According to the police, Mishra was riding from Lonikand towards Wagholi when he approached the Katkewadi stretch of the highway. At that time, a truck loaded with iron and steel material was parked on the road.
