Pune: 3535 new Corona patients in Pune district, 74 deaths
Pune, Sep 3, 2020: With the addition of 3535 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 1,77,282 in Pune district. Also, 2599 patients got discharged from hospitals while 74 people died.
Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 1,77,282 patients 1,37,638 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 4257 people have died. There are still 34,636 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 42,537, 15197 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 761,431 people have been tested in the district.
The 1,77,282 patients include 98,695 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 51,307 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 3573 from Cantonment areas, 18,213 are from Rural areas, and 5494 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 3,853,406 across the country. Out of this, 2,970,492 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 67,376 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 815,538 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
