Pune: 3667 new Corona patients in Pune district, 69 deaths
Pune, Sep 21, 2020: With the addition of 4656 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 235,852 in Pune district. Also, 3505 patients got discharged from hospitals while 74 people died.
Dr. Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 2,35,852 patients 1,88,154 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 5366 people have died. There are still 32,132 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, also out of 42,479, 17,044 are Home Isolated. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 9,78,785 people have been tested in the district.
The 2,35,852 patients include 1,24,568 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 66,483 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 4634 from Cantonment areas, 30,797 are from Rural areas, and 9370 from municipal council (Nagar Parishad) areas in the district.
According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 5,487,580 across the country. Out of this, 4,396,399 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 87,882 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 1,003,299 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
