Pune, June 18, 2020: In the last 24 hours, a total of 193 people were discharged from hospitals after being cured of COVID19 in Pune city today. Also, 472 new patients were detected while 6 patients died. Today swab samples of 2464 people were collected for COVID tests.

 

According to Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC), the total number of Coronavirus positive patients till date has reached 11115 out of which 6906 have been cured while 487 have died. There are still 3722 active patients undergoing treatment in various hospitals. They include 245 critical patients out of which 49 are on ventilator support. Till now 81,511 people have been tested in Pune city.

 

Among the 6 deaths, three were women and three men. All were between the age group 30 to 84 years. They were residents of Hadapsar (3), Kasba Peth (1),  Dandekar Pul (1), Chatursungi road near Om Super Market (1). Also two deaths reported in Pune Cantonment area near Modikhana Camp(1) and Dorabaji Bazar Camp (1).

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 3752 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 120,504 . Also, 100 people died today while 1672 got discharged from hospitals after being cured. There are still 53,901 active cases. The total death toll stands at 5751, while 60,838 patients have been discharged till date, according to Maharashtra Health Department.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 366,946 across the country. Out of this, 194,324 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 12,237 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 160,384 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
