Pune: 510 Polling Stations For Chinchwad Constituency And 270 For Kasba Peth Constituency For Assembly By-Elections

Pune, 3rd February 2023: The by-election program of 205- Chinchwad and 215- Kasba Peth Assembly constituencies are going on in Pune, and accordingly, nomination papers will be accepted till Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Meanwhile, the number of voting stations has been fixed for both these constituencies.

The Special Brief Revision Program of Electoral Rolls was conducted on November 9, 2022. According to this, on January 5, 2023, the final voter list of all the assembly constituencies in the district was released. Accordingly, in the 205-Chinchwad assembly constituency, there are 5,66,415 voters like 3,01,648 males, 2,64,732 females, and 35 transgenders. The number of voters has increased by 48,106 compared to the 2019 assembly elections.

In Kasba Peth Assembly Constituency, there are 1,36,873 males, 1,38,550 females, and five transgenders with 2,75,428 voters. Compared to the 2019 assembly elections, the number of voters has decreased by 15,255.

Deputy District Election Officer Aarti Bhosale informed, “Based on the number of voters in the final voter list, 270 voting stations have been fixed for 215- Kasba Peth assembly constituency and 510 polling stations for 205- Chinchwad assembly constituency.”
