Pune: 739 new Corona patients in Pune district, 31 deaths

Pune, July 1, 2020: With the addition of 739 fresh Coronavirus positive yesterday, the total number of COVID cases has reached 22,429 in Pune district. Also, 633 patients got discharged from hospitals while 31 people died.

 

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 22,429 patients 13,731 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 763 people have died. There are still 7935 active patients undergoing treatment including 460 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 170,415  people have been tested in the district.

 

The 22,429 patients include 17,296 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 3300 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 532 from Pune Cantonment, 179 from Khadki Cantonment, 11 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 1141 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 11 from Baramati town, 16 from Baramati rural,106 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 34 from Talegaon Dabhade, 17 from Chakan, 45 from Saswad, 2 from Alandi, 4 from Lonavala,2 from Shirur town, 2 from Junnar town, 13 from Indapur town, 2 from Bhor town, 2 from Vadgaon, 3 from Rajguru Nagar, 364 from Haveli, 38 from Shirur, 67 from Junnar rural, 88 from Khed, 57 from Mulshi, 36 from Velha, 27 from Bhor, 10 from Indapur rural, 32 from Daund rural, 59 from Maval, 21 from Purandar and 52 from Ambegaon.

 

Across Maharashtra, there were 4878 new COVID19 cases yesterday taking the total number of cases to 174,761. Also, 245 people died while 1951 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 75,979 active cases. Till now 90,911 COVID-19 patients have been cured. The recovery rate in the state is 52.02 %.

 

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 585,493 across the country. Out of this, 347,978 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 17,400 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 220,114 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
