Pune: 8-Storey Illegal Building Demolished in Kondhwa Khurd by PMC’s Special Squad
Kondhwa Khurd, 7th August 2025: In a significant crackdown on unauthorized constructions, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) today (August 7) demolished an illegally constructed 8-storey RCC building near J.K. Park in Kondhwa Khurd. The demolition covered approximately 5,000 square feet of parking space and the entire vertical structure.
The action was carried out by a dedicated special squad formed by the PMC. The team involved 10 laborers, 5 police personnel, 1 JCB machine, 4 breakers, 2 gas cutters, 4 junior engineers, and 2 assistant engineers.
PMC officials stated that due to the demolition, the building’s structure has now become dangerously unstable. Citizens have been strictly warned against using the building or purchasing any flats within the premises.
This operation was part of PMC’s ongoing campaign against unauthorized constructions across the city. The municipal authorities have once again appealed to the public to remain cautious and avoid investing in illegal housing projects. They also urged buyers to verify necessary approvals before purchasing any property to prevent fraud and financial loss.
