Pune: 820 new Corona patients in Pune district, 300 cases in PCMC today

Pune, June 23 2020: With the addition of 820 fresh Coronavirus positive today, the total number of COVID cases has reached 16851 in Pune district. Also, 497 patients got discharged from hospitals while 13 people died.

 

Dr Bhagwan Pawar, District Health Officer (DHO), said that out of total 16851 patients 10,288 have been cured and discharged from hospitals, while 617 people have died. There are still 5946 active patients undergoing treatment including 327 critical patients. Most of the patients are from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area. Till now 139,720 people have been tested in the district.

The 16,851 patients include 13,229 from Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) area, 2227 from Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC), 498 from Pune Cantonment, 147 from Khadki Cantonment, 10 from Dehuroad Cantonment and 740 from Pune rural areas. In the Pune rural areas, there are 11 from Baramati town, 15 from Baramati rural, 92 from Daund town, 1 from Jejuri, 19 from Talegaon Dabhade, 8 from Chakan, 14 from Saswad, 2 from Alandi, 3 from Lonavala,1 from Shirur town, 1 from Junnar town,  13 from Indapur town, 2 from Bhor town, 220 from Haveli, 26 from Shirur, 42  from Junnar rural, 44 from Khed, 38 from Mulshi, 34 from Velha, 17 from Bhor, 7 from Indapur rural, 22 from Daund rural, 43 from Maval, 15 from Purandar and 49 from Ambegaon.

Across Maharashtra, there were 3214 new COVID19 cases today taking the total number of cases to 139,010. Also, 248 people died while 1925 got discharge from hospitals after being cured. There are still 62,833 active cases.

According to the Union Health Ministry, the number of Coronavirus positive patients has reached 440214 across the country. Out of this, 248189 have been cured and discharged from hospitals while 14011 people have died and one patient has migrated out of the country. There are still 178014 active patients undergoing treatment in hospitals across the country.
