Pune: 85 water logging spots identified by traffic police

Pune, July 1, 2020: The Pune city traffic police have identified 85 waterlogging spots throughout various roads of the city which are responsible for traffic jams and other problems during rainy season. Traffic police have sent the list of these spots to the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

Police have requested the PMC to repair these water logging spots as soon as possible during the monsoon season. They said that if these spots were repaired it would help save a lot of time, fuel and energy.

Traffic police surveyed Swargate, Dattawadi, Bundgarden, Wanawadi, Koregaon Park, Shivajinagar, Bharati Vidyapeeth, Chatuhshrungi and Warje.

Waterlogging spots identified by the traffic police include:

o Near Swargate State Transport bus stand
o Marketyard Chowk
o Gangadham Chowk
o Alankar Chowk
o Pune Station Chowk
o Sadhu Vaswani Chowk

o State Bank Corner
o Outside Saint Miras College
o Hotel Blue Diamond Chowk
o Ambedkar Setu Chaupati Area
o Mangaldas Chowk
