Pune: Aagomoni Prabasi Sangha to Host Grand Saraswati Puja in Pashan on February 2
Pune, 31st January 2025: The city is set to witness a grand celebration of Saraswati Puja as Aagomoni Prabasi Sangha, a prominent socio-cultural organization, gears up for its 8th successful year of festivities. Scheduled for Sunday, February 2, 2025, the event will take place at Dhyandeep Mangal Karyalaya, Pashan, Pune.
The puja, dedicated to Maa Vidya Devi Saraswati, the goddess of wisdom and knowledge, is open to all without any restrictions. “Our puja is not just a religious gathering but a cultural celebration where people from all backgrounds can come together to seek blessings, enjoy traditional rituals, and participate in various activities,” said Rajesh Burman, General Secretary of Aagomoni Prabasi Sangha.
The day’s events will commence at 9:45 AM with the puja, followed by Pushpanjali and Hathekhori, a significant ritual where young children begin their writing journey under divine blessings. Devotees can partake in the community Bhog Prasad, which will be served from 1 PM to 3:30 PM. As the evening sets in, Sandhya Aarti will take place at 6:30 PM, followed by an engaging cultural program showcasing music, dance, and performances celebrating Bengali heritage.
Burman extended an open invitation to all Punekars, irrespective of caste, creed, or religion, to be a part of the celebrations. “We believe in inclusivity and community spirit. This event is not just for Bengalis but for everyone who wishes to experience the joy and devotion of Saraswati Puja. Families, friends, and even pets are welcome, as we are a pet-friendly organization,” he added.
Alongside the rituals, the festival will feature various competitions and cultural activities, providing an opportunity for attendees to immerse themselves in the festive spirit.
