Pune: About 3,000 Veterans To Attend ESM Mega Rally In Camp; Over 40,000 To Join Online
Pune, 13th February 2024: An ESM mega rally will be organised under the aegis of Southern Command at Pune on 15 – 16 February. The rally being held with the theme ‘Samman Evam Samadhan’ aims to address the concerns of ex-servicemen and will commence at 09.00 am on 15 February at Milkha Singh Sports Complex, in Pune Camp and continue on 16 Feb also. Approximately 3000 veterans will attend the rally in Pune, with an additional 40,000 veterans joining in an online mode through Video Conferencing from 20 Stations spanning nine states .
Lt Gen AK Singh, Army Commander, Southern Command will be the chief guest for event. This initiative is designed to assist ex-servicemen, widows, veteran wives, veteran mothers, and veteran fathers in the district regarding pension, ECHS, CSD canteen, and other related matters. Notable attendees from Army Headquarters will include representatives from ECHS, AWHO, DSW, AWPN, Pune District Sainik Welfare Office, Record Offices, Army Welfare Placement Organization, PCDA(O) and PCDA Pension Prayagraj.
Stalls will be set up to facilitate discussions and address concerns related to SPARSH, Pension, OROP, ECHS, canteen etc. Ex Servicemen interested in attending are requested to contact Headquarters Dakshin Maharashtra and Goa Sub Area helpline.
