Pune: Abundance Of Leafy Vegetables Floods Market Yard, Delighting Shoppers

Pune, 3rd September 2023: The vegetable section at the Market Yard witnessed an influx of leafy greens this Sunday, much to the delight of housewives who found the prices to their liking.

With the recent reduction in rainfall, the supply of leafy vegetables has seen a significant uptick. Consequently, prices of various leafy greens, including fenugreek and coriander, have experienced a drop. Vegetable traders reported the arrival of 50 thousand bunches of coriander and an equal quantity of fenugreek.

In the wholesale market, prices for leafy greens per hundred are as follows: Coriander at Rs 700, radish ranging from 600 to 1200 rupees, amaranth from 400 to 700 rupees, chuka from 500 to 700 rupees, chawlai from 300 to 600 rupees, and spinach from 800 to 1500 rupees, according to local traders.
