Pune ACB DySP Anil Patrudkar to get President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service

Pune, August 15, 2020: Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Anil Patrudkar has been selected for the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service. The announcement was made by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs yesterday on the eve of Independence Day.

 

Patrudkar joined Maharashtra Police force in 1992 as a Police Sub Inspector (PSI) through the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) examination. He is currently posted with the Pune unit of the Maharashtra Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB). In his 28 years service with the police department, he has professionally handled and solved many sensitive cases.

 

While working as in-charge of Chandannagar Police Station under Pune city police, he achieved a conviction rate of 89% for the year 2016. He had arrested many notorious goons and gangsters involved in heinous crimes.

 

When he was in-charge of Mundhwa Police Station under Pune city police, he turned it into a Smart Police Station on 15th August 2018 and got ISO certification for the same which is first in Pune police commissionerate.

 

His proficiency in investigation and detection led to the conviction of several sensitive cases of road robbery, murder, kidnapping etc. He has worked in Mumbai city, Nashik, Nagpur as well as the Maharashtra Criminal Investigation Department (CID).

 

He received ‘Best Conviction Award’ on July 27, 2016, for achieving conviction to accused involved in a house break-in case. Similarly, he has received ‘Best Detection Award’ from DGP, Maharashtra Police as well as an award for ‘Best Conviction’ of Pune Police Commissionerate in January 2017.

 

Till now he has received a total of 440 rewards in credit and decorated with Director-General Insignia for Meritorious Services on 1 st May 2013. He has maintained excellent service track record during his career.
