Pune: Accident Claims Life of Son, Father Injured As Their Two-Wheeler Hits Pothole; Police Register Case Against Deceased
Khadakwasla, 20th December 2023: A 31-year-old youth lost his life after his two-wheeler hit a pothole on the road near Khadakwasla Dam. The victim, identified as Prasad Govind Karanjawane from Bhukum, Mulshi, succumbed to his injuries in the accident. His father, Govind Dagdu Karanjawane (65) also sustained injuries during the mishap.
The father-son duo was en route to NDA road from Dam road in the evening when the incident occurred, approximately 50 meters from the bridge on Dam road. The two-wheeler crashed into a ditch, causing both Prasad and Govind to fall. Prasad suffered severe head injuries in the accident. Despite receiving medical treatment, he could not be saved and succumbed to his injuries. Govind Karanjawane is currently receiving treatment for the injuries sustained in the accident.
Meanwhile, Uttamnagar police station has registered a case against the youth for driving the two-wheeler at high speed and flouting the traffic rules.
