Pune: Accident On Pune-Ahmednagar Highway in Wagholi Claims Two Lives, One Person Injured
Wagholi, 27th December 2023: An accident unfolded on Monday (25th December) night in Wagholi on the Pune Nagar Highway, near Bakori Phata, as two bikes collided head-on, resulting in the tragic loss of two lives and leaving one person with injuries. The incident occurred at approximately 11:30 pm.
The victims of this collision have been identified as Raosaheb Sidaji Mane (21), a resident of Lonikand, and Rahul Mohan Dukle (19), a resident of Wagholi. Raosaheb was employed in the field of food delivery, and he met with an accident while on his way to deliver food.
Rahul, on the other hand, was riding a bike accompanied by a friend when the two bikes collided in a head-on collision. Raosaheb lost their life on the spot, and Rahul succumbed to his injuries while being rushed to the hospital. The passenger on Rahul’s bike sustained minor injuries and is currently receiving medical attention.
An FIR has been lodged at the Lonikand Police Station, initiating an official investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision. Raosaheb Mane, survived by his parents and a married sister, was described as an amiable individual by Sudhir Kand, a member of the Lonikand Gram Panchayat.
Rahul Dukle, who leaves behind his parents, sisters, and brothers, was employed as a tempo driver.
