Pune 22nd August 2023: An activist of Pune’s Kabir Kala Manch Jyoti Jagtap who was arrested from Pune for alleged links with maoists in connection with Elgaar Parishad case has moved Supreme Court for bail. Jagtap has challenged the Bombay High Court’s order that rejected her bail application in the case. The Supreme Court has agreed to hear the matter on September 21.

It may be noted that her bail application was rejected by the Bombay High Court while stating that the case against her was true and she was part of a larger conspiracy hatched by the banned outfit Communist Party of India (Maoist). Jagtap was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in the case about three years ago.
