Pune: Admission Process In PMC’s Medical College To Begin From December

Pune, 8th September 2021: Mayor Murlidhar Mohol has informed that admission to the Pune Municipal Corporation’s medical college will start in December.

He also informed that the work is being carried out as per the instructions of the National Medical Commission (NMC).

The municipal corporation will start Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College. All the facilities are being set up at Baburao Sanas School and Kamla Nehru Hospital.

According to sources, a team from the NMC visited last month and gave instructions on recruitment and basic facilities. Also, instructions were given to complete the process within a month. Since then, the work has started in full swing. 48 professors have been appointed. Additional staff from other departments have been deputed to the post, counting a total of 41 employees, other staff will also be recruited.

Basic facilities like electrical works such as CCTV etc. are completed. In addition, the number of OPDs has increased, signs have been put up in this regard. The machinery and materials required have arrived already.

The admission process will start in December after getting all the permits, the Mayor informed. The academic year of the medical college starts in June. Therefore, it is clear from the preliminary level that the process will take place in June next year.
