Pune: Afghan Students Protests To Condemn Kabul School Bombing

Pune, 10th October 2022: Following the bombing of a classroom which killed more than 50 students in Kabul, Afghan students and the Hazara community have been receiving support in the form of protests from across the world.

 

A number of protests were seen on Saturday in support of stopping the genocide-like situation of the Hazara community. In India, protests were held across Pune (Maharashtra), Gujarat, and Delhi.

In Pune, the protest took place on the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) campus.

 

Students of the community have requested for peace and understanding and wish to see an end to their struggles.

 

On September 30, a suicide attack at the Kaj Educational Institute in Daste Barchi, a Hazara-dominated community in Kabul, had rocked the world. A number of students were present at the Institute to take an entrance exam that Friday. While initial reports had put the number killed at 19 and those injured at 27, subsequent reports by the BBC have put the death toll at 53.
