Pune Airport: Customs Department Seizes Smuggled Gold Worth Rs 7.89 Lakh From Passenger

Pune, October 30, 2020: The Customs officers of Pune Airport have seized 151.82 gms of 24 K gold valued at Rs 7.89 lakh from a passenger travelling from Dubai on October 29.

“The gold was concealed in rubber eraser wrapped in chocolate bars, hidden under the telescopic handle of a trolley bag. A round band of gold-coated with silver was kept in the sling bag. Further investigation is under process”, said Dr Motilal Shete, Deputy Commissioner (Customs), Pune Airport.
