Pune Airport Officials Felicitate Olympic Medalist PV Sindhu

Pune, 12th August 2021: After winning Bronze Medal at the Tokyo Olympics, badminton champion PV Sindhu arrived in Pune for the first time on Wednesday.

“Pune Airport is delighted to welcome one of our Olympic Heroes. Tokyo Olympics Bronze Medalist in Badminton, PV Sindhu was felicitated by Airport Director, Pune Airport on behalf of AAI
and Pune Airport”, tweeted the Pune airport handle.

Sindhu has become the second Indian and the first woman in the country to win two consecutive individual Olympic medals. Sindhu, who won silver medal in Rio Olympics 2016, won bronze medal at Tokyo Olympic Games.

Sindhu has consistently won medals in major tournaments. She won gold and silver medals at the BWF World Tour Finals in 2018 after winning silver medals at the Commonwealth Games and Asian Games. She also won two silver and two bronze medals at the World Championships before the title in 2019.
