Pune Airport To Be Closed For 14 Days, Check Dates Before Booking Flight Tickets

Pune, 5th October 2021: The Pune international airport will remain shut for 14 days, sources from the airport and various airlines said.
Pune airport director Santosh Dhoke told PunekarNews.in that the airport will remain closed from 16th to 29th October.
The Indian Air Force (IAF), which owns the runway, wants to do re-carpeting work, hence the Pune international airport will be closed. The work was to be done earlier but it was postponed for transporting the Coronavirus disease (COVID19) vaccine.
This is to inform all passengers that as per information received from Indian Air Force (IAF), due to runway resurfacing works, all flights from #PuneAirport will not operate for 14 days from 16 October 2021 to 29 October 2021.@AAI_Official @aairedwr @Pib_MoCA @DGCAIndia

The shutdown is expected to affect the passengers and airlines in a big way as it will be done during the festive season.
