Pune Airport To Be Shut For 14 Days In April-May, Check Dates Before Booking Tickets

Pune, January 31, 2021: The Pune airport authority has informed that there will be no flight operations for 14 days in April-May this year due to runway resurfacing work. At present, only day time flights are operating.

“As per information received from Indian Air Force (IAF), due to runway resurfacing works, Pune Airport will have no flight operations for 14 days from 26th April 2021 till 9 May 2021”, the Pune airport authority stated.

The Pune Airport at Lohegaon is operating from defence land which is owned by the Indian Air Force. The runway is maintained and repaired by IAF. The Air Force has started the repair work of runway from October 26 last year. This work continues every night from 8 pm to 8 am. Due to runway work, flights now operate between 8 am to 8 pm only.

As per information received from IAF, due to runway resurfacing works, Pune Airport will have no flight operations for 14 days from 26th April 2021 till 09 May 2021.
