Pune: Alandi Maharaj Arrested For Sexually Abusing Three Minors

Alandi, 26th January 2024: In a shocking revelation, the headmaster of a Warkari education institution in Alandi disclosed today a distressing incident of unnatural rape involving three minor Warkari students who had sought religious education at the institution.

Promptly responding to the gravity of the allegations, a case has been registered at Alandi Police Station under relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and Indian Penal Code (IPC).

The accused Maharaj (52) has been taken into custody by the Alandi police station, Pimpri Chinchwad police. He has been a resident of Alandi for over thirty years and hails from Parbhani district. He taught Mridanga to the victimized students.

According to the Alandi police, the accused committed unnatural acts on the students repeatedly over the last three months. The parents of the victimized children filed the complaint. The accused, being a respected Maharaj, has sparked discussions about potential political pressure on both the victims’ parents and the police.
