Pune: Alternative Route Of Palkhi- Bridge Over Shindwane Ghat Is Still Incomplete
Belsar, 25th May 2023: The Palkhi ceremony of Sant Dyaneshwar and Sant Tukaram Maharaj is just a few days away. Along with the main Palkhi Route in Purandar taluka, many problems have arisen with the alternative routes. As the work of the bridge over Shindwane ghat on Belsar Uruli Kanchan road has not yet been completed, the passengers will have to bear a lot of pain.
The administration had promised to complete the work of the bridge near the pump house of the Purandar Upsa Irrigation Scheme on the Shindwane Ghat on 25th April. But even after a month, the work on the bridge has not been completed.
Further, this route is used as an alternative route for the Palkhi ceremony. This route is recognized as an important alternative route connecting both palanquins. But due to the incomplete work, the vehicles will face more siege.
As the work on this bridge is going on at a very slow pace, a big problem will arise during the Palkhi ceremony due to the stalled work of this bridge. The Collector and administration visited the main roads of the Palkhi Route to understand the difficulties. But alternative routes to Palkhi Route are equally important. Therefore, the passengers are demanding that the administration should pay serious attention to this and provide alternative routes for vehicles.
