Pune, 12th December 2025: The state’s Registration and Stamp Duty Department has taken action against Amadea Enterprises LLP for allegedly undervaluing government land and evading stamp duty. The company, in which Parth Pawar — son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar — is a director, has been ordered to pay the full pending stamp duty amount without any concessions. Officials confirmed that the company will now have to pay ₹22.48 crore.

Last month, it emerged that Amadea Enterprises LLP had executed a land transaction involving 40 acres of Mahar Watan land in Mundhwa near Koregaon Park. During the deal, the company allegedly declared a lower land value to reduce stamp duty and also availed a ₹21 crore waiver from the Directorate of Industries.

Following this, the Registration and Stamp Duty Department issued notices on November 7 to partner Digvijaysinh Patil and power-of-attorney holder Sheetal Tejwani. The notice sought recovery of ₹42 crore — ₹21 crore from the waiver and an additional ₹21 crore for cancellation of the transaction.

At a hearing held last Thursday, the company argued that the stamp duty waiver availed at the time of purchase was valid and challenged the department’s notice through a written reply submitted by its lawyers.

However, the department issued its order on Thursday, stating that Amadea Enterprises LLP is not entitled to any concession and must pay ₹21 crore in stamp duty dues.

Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar had earlier announced that the controversial land deal would be cancelled. According to officials, cancellation of the transaction would also require the company to pay another ₹21 crore as per rules, although the final decision on cancellation is still pending. The company has not yet initiated the cancellation process.

“Amadea Enterprises LLP will have to pay the full stamp duty amount. No waiver will be granted. Additionally, a penalty of ₹1.46 crore has been imposed on the company,” said Santosh Hingane, Deputy District Registrar.
