Pune: Angry Over Their Transfers Before Tenure, 100 Police Personnel Reach Commissioner’s Office
Pune, September 28, 2020: Over 100 police personnel of Pune city police have gathered at the Commissioner of Police (CP) office in Camp, demanding to revoke their transfer order which was issued two days back. The police officials have alleged that transfers have been ordered before their tenure is completed.
Stating it as injustice done to them, the cops are set to meet the newly appointed Police Commissioner Amitabh Gupta and request him to cancel their transfer. A police constable is posted for five years at a police station, Crime Branch, Traffic Branch or other unit.
According to officials, a total of 1289 police personnel have been transferred based on their request, completion of tenure or against whom there are complaints.
