Pune: Armed robbers loot ornaments from Pethe Jewellers in Kothrud, fire two rounds

Pune, November 24, 2019: About 1.5 kg ornaments including 500-gram gold were looted from Pethe Jewellers shop in Kothrud on Sunday evening.

According to Kothrud police station, Pune city police, the incident took place between around 4.30 pm at Pethe Jewellers in Anandnagar locality of Kothrud. Two persons entered the shop and one of them threatened with a revolver. He also fired two rounds when the staffs tried to resist. Another robber meanwhile put all the jewellery in a bag which he had brought, while staffs handed over all the ornaments – gold plated imitation jewellery and gold ornaments, kept on display. The CCTV cameras inside the shop have captured the whole incident.
The detection branch of the police station and Crime Branch officials are searching for the robbers based on CCTV footage images of the robbers.
