Pune: Army Colonel’s Pistol And Live Rounds Stolen From Room, Case Registered
Pune 17th August 2023: An Army Colonel living the city has lodged a complaint with Pune City Police regarding a theft reported in the room. The thief ran away with his pistol and around 20 live rounds kept in the house. The incident came to light after the colonel found his pistol kept at a room in the Khadki area missing.
According to the complaint registered with police, the complainant works as colonel in Armoured Corpse Center School in Ahmednagar. The pistol was kept inside a box in a room of Army Base Workshop in Khadki. The box was locked and the thief broke it before stealing the private revolver and rounds. According to the complaint, the theft was reported between March 21 and August 12 this year.
A case in this regard has been registered at Khadki Police Station under sections 454, 457 and 380 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation in the matter is underway.
