Pune, 17th August 2026: Army Public School Khadki (APSK) held its investiture ceremony on Friday, August 7, 2026, with nearly 50 students formally taking charge of various leadership positions in the school.

The ceremony was attended by the Principal of Army Public School Khadki and the Principal of Army Public School Dighi, along with students, teachers and members of the school community. The event marked the formal appointment of the new student council.

One of the key moments of the ceremony was the handing over of the school flag to Head Girl Sejal Kadam and Head Boy Sugam Bhatia. House flags were also presented to the respective house captains.

The ceremony highlighted the responsibilities associated with student leadership, with the newly appointed office-bearers taking on roles that require discipline, accountability and leadership by example.

Addressing the significance of the occasion, the school emphasised that leadership is developed through experience, discipline, responsibility and the ability to learn from setbacks. The institution noted that these qualities are increasingly important in a complex and interconnected world and extend beyond academic life.

For the newly appointed student leaders, the ceremony marked the beginning of their responsibilities rather than their culmination. They are expected to support their peers, take responsibility for their decisions and set standards through their own conduct.

The event also reflected the values traditionally associated with the Armed Forces, including discipline, integrity, courage and service before self. The school highlighted these principles as important qualities for developing responsible citizens and future leaders.

The investiture ceremony concluded with a message that while leadership positions may be formally assigned, true leadership is demonstrated through consistent actions, responsibility and service.
