Pune, 17th August 2026: Army Public School, Dighi celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm. The celebration was attended by the Chief Guest – Lt. Col. Himanshu Singh, Officer Incharge, Army Public School Dighi, Principal Mrs. Kavita Kadam, Vice Principal, Headmistress, teachers and students.

The programme featured a heartfelt speech by a Primary Wing student, followed by an energetic dance performance on “Jaga Hindustan.” Senior Wing students presented a patriotic and cultural skit highlighting the courage, sacrifice and determination behind India’s freedom. A stirring choir presentation of “Vande Mataram” further strengthened the spirit of patriotism among the gathering.

The Chief Guest addressed the students with an inspiring message, encouraging them to become responsible and worthy citizens of the nation.

The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks to the school leadership, teachers, organisers and students for their enthusiastic participation. The programme reinforced the values of patriotism, unity, discipline and responsibility, reminding everyone that the celebration of freedom must be accompanied by a commitment to serving the nation.
