Hadapsar, November 28, 2020:

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited the Serum Institute of India (SII) today to check the progress of the COVID-19 vaccine ‘COVISHIELD’. However, things took an unexpected turn when some supporters of the spiritual guru Asaram Bapu staged a protest in front of the SII.

Asaram Bapu had been arrested in 2013 after a teenage girl from UP who was a student at his Jodhpur ashram lodged a complaint against him for sexually assaulting her.

The police, however, detained the three people who have been identified as Rishikesh Suhas Devare, Santosh Hiralal Shejwal and Santosh Devare in connection with the protest.

The protesters demanded the release of Asaram Bapu who has been in jail since 2013. The police have found out that the protesters belong to the Yuva Seva Sangh Organization from Pune.

“We don’t want COVID vaccine. We want Asaram Bapu. He is innocent”, they raised slogans.
