Pune: Aspirants Cheated of Rs 2.39 Crores in Job Scam Promising Work in Australia

Pune, 16th February 2023: The Bund Garden Police have registered an FIR against Shivam Joshi, also known as Sam, a resident of Australia, and Deepika Kamdar, a resident of Nagpur, for allegedly defrauding aspirants of Rs 2.39 crores by offering false promises of securing lucrative jobs in a renowned hotel in Australia.

 

The incident occurred between January 2019 and August 2022 at the New Edu Vision Consultancy on Tadiwala Road.

 

According to police, the accused presented the victims with bogus offer letters and claimed that Ayesha Siddharth Modi, also known as Ayesha Arjun Rajwade, would provide jobs to aspirants through a company called Australia Skill Visa Pvt. Ltd. Ayesha was given a fake offer letter from a reputed hotel in Australia. However, the aspirants were not employed as they did not possess the necessary visa. Joshi and Kamdar allegedly extorted an amount of approximately Rs 2.39 crores from the aspirants who had hoped for a better future.

 

A complaint was filed by Ayesha Modi in this matter, and based on which, the Bund Garden Police station, Pune city police, have registered an FIR. Further investigation is going on.
