Pune: Attempted Rape Of 12-Year-Old Girl, Search For Accused Underway
Wanwadi, 13th January 2023: An incident of attempted rape of a minor girl took place in the Wanwadi area. The girl resisted the accused, resulting in the accused escaping. The girl’s mother has filed a complaint at Wanwadi police station. Accordingly, a case has been registered against one accused.
The victim, a 12-year-old girl, was walking near a drain in the Chimta Vasti area of Wanavadi. At that time, a stranger stopped her. He told her that her mother is looking for her. He then dragged the girl to a bush near a stream. The girl fought the accused. The girl then kicked the accused and escaped from his grip.
The frightened girl informed her mother about this. Police are searching for the absconding accused and the girl has described the accused to the police. Police sub-inspector Gawde is investigating.
