Pune: Baisakhi Samagam at Raheja Vista Premier Celebrates Faith, Unity and Community Spirit
Mohammadwadi, 11th May 2026: The Baisakhi Samagam – Khalsa Sajna Diwas held at Raheja Vista Premier was celebrated with immense devotion, unity, and spiritual fervour by residents and guests from across the community. The event emerged not only as a religious and cultural gathering but also as a symbol of communal harmony, inclusiveness, and togetherness.
The sacred function commenced at 5 pm with the respectful installation of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Swaroop in a beautifully decorated Palki Sahib, creating a divine and peaceful atmosphere throughout the venue.
The event was organised through the efforts of Raj Singh, along with a dedicated team of volunteers and members of Sikh Helpline Foundation.
Soon after the installation ceremony, the Raheja society ladies’ group began the soulful Sukhmani Sahib Path, filling the surroundings with serenity and positive energy. From 7 pm onwards, Sikh children aged between 2 and 14 touched everyone’s hearts through their participation in Rehraas Sahib Path, Aarti, Kirtan, and Katha. Their confidence, devotion, and dedication to Sikh values received appreciation from those present.
Such community programmes play an important role in encouraging children to come forward and perform on stage while also helping them connect deeply with the teachings and values conveyed through Gurbani, Kirtan, and Katha.
One of the most notable aspects of the Samagam was its inclusive nature. People from Sikh, Hindu, Muslim, and various other backgrounds came together with unity, love, and mutual respect to support and make the event successful. The gathering reflected the spirit of togetherness and the timeless Gurbani message of “Sarbat Da Bhalla” — welfare and harmony for all humanity.
Raheja society has long stood out as a warm, inclusive, and closely connected community where people from different faiths and backgrounds celebrate festivals and support one another with mutual respect and harmony. At a time when communal divisions are often highlighted across the country, gatherings like this reinforce the message that unity, coexistence, and humanity continue to remain strong within communities that stand together.
The Samagam also became a heartfelt occasion for residents to connect beyond spirituality and celebration. The community has been collectively raising its voice regarding the long-pending PMC water pipeline issue, and with recent developments indicating that the pipeline work is expected to begin next week, there was visible happiness and optimism among residents.
Discussions around this positive development added another layer of togetherness and celebration to the evening, making the gathering not only spiritually uplifting but also emotionally significant for the community.
The spiritual gathering concluded with Ardaas and Hukamnama Sahib, spreading the message of humanity, humility, and selfless service. Thereafter, Guru Ka Langar was lovingly served to all devotees and guests, symbolising equality, unity, and togetherness.
The Langar Seva and food preparations were graciously supported and prepared by Singh Sabha Gurdwara, whose seva added warmth and blessings to the occasion.
The Samagam received wholehearted support and contributions from several respected members of the community, including Kiran Madam and her group, Tara Singh from Anandvan Group, Shamim Pathan from Kondhwa, Archana Dube from Tata Inora Park, Undri, Ashok Mehdale from Raheja, Saras Katta Group, and corporate guest Mrs Prachi Alhat, along with many other families and well-wishers whose support made the event a grand success.
The evening concluded with prayers for peace, harmony, happiness, and the welfare of all humanity, truly reflecting the spirit of faith, devotion, seva, and community bonding.
