Pune: Ballr Pub in Kalyaninagar Faces Legal Troubles Following Midnight Inspection
Kalyaninagar, 29th October 2024: A confrontation between the owner, and manager of Ballr Pub in Kalyaninagar and Yerwada police station officers occurred late Monday night when the establishment was allegedly found violating operating hours. The police have registered a case against the pub’s owner and the manager.
The incident took place around 2 a.m. when Assistant Police Inspector Mahesh Lamkhede, on night patrol, discovered that the pub was still open after the designated closing time. A police team arrived to enforce the closure and found the pub crowded with patrons, who were still being served food and drinks.
As Inspector Lamkhede instructed the staff to close the pub, a dispute erupted. The pub’s manager reportedly argued with the police. In response to the altercation, a case has been filed against the pub staff for obstructing government duties.
