Pune: Bangladeshi National Booked for Living Illegally in Theur
Pune, 26th December 2024: Loni Kalbhor police have registered a case against a Bangladeshi national, identified as Harul Panchanan Biswas (53), for illegally residing in the Theur area of Pune district.
The accused was living on the first floor of Kakade Building in Theur, Haveli taluka of Pune district. The case was filed based on a complaint by Amol Vitthal Pawar from the Anti-Robbery Squad at the Loni Kalbhor police station.
According to the police, Biswas was born in Bangladesh and has been a citizen of the country since 1972. He allegedly entered India by infiltrating the border without any valid documentation to prove his Indian citizenship. Initially residing in West Bengal, he later moved to different locations across the country before settling in Theur.
During the investigation, it was revealed that Biswas had fabricated documents to pose as an Indian citizen. He allegedly forged an Indian birth certificate and obtained multiple official identification documents, including an Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID card, passport, and ration card, to establish his fake identity.
Based on this evidence, police have registered a case against him under various sections for illegally residing in India and falsifying government documents.
Further investigation is underway to determine how Biswas managed to acquire the forged documents and whether others were involved in aiding his illegal activities.
