Pune: Bank manager, software engineer arrested for running prostitution racket

Baner, June 29, 2020: The officials from Chutushrungi police station, under Pune city police, have busted an online sex racket. The main accused is working as an assistant bank manager in one bank and another as a computer engineer. They were running the racket through website for escort services.

Police have arrested four people, including the row house owner from the accused persons operated in Baner. The arrested accused have been identified as manager Suresh Pralhad Ranveer (35) of Nanded who lived in Baner, Ravikant Baleshwar Paswan (34) of Bihar who resided here in Sus, Deepak Jaiprakash Sharma (36) of Odisha who lived in Balewadi, and row house owner Naksen Ramdas Gajghate (52) of Bavdhan. Paswan works as an Assistant Manager with a leading public sector bank. Sharma is a software engineer. One of his female accomplice Shivani Patil alias Zoya Rehan Khan of Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, is absconding.

According to police, they were operating from the row house/hotel in Dhankude Vasti near Pashan Hill. Police have seized 11 mobile phones, four laptops, an iPad and a Tata safari used for business.

The action was taken under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (East region) Sunil Fulari, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone 4) Pankaj Deshmukh and Assistant Commissioner of Police (Khadki) Laxman Borate. Senior Inspector Anil Shewale of Chaturhsrungi police station is investigating the case.
