Pune, 26th June 2025: In a unique initiative aimed at promoting inclusion and celebrating the abilities of the visually impaired, Round Table India is all set to host the ‘Beyond Sight’ car rally on Sunday, June 29, at 10 AM. The event will flag off from The Fern Club, Amanora Park, Pune, and promises to be a compelling blend of awareness, participation, and social impact.

What makes the rally stand out is its distinctive format: each participating vehicle will have a sighted driver teamed with a visually impaired navigator. The navigator will use smartphone-based voice instructions to guide the driver along a 24-km city route. The planned course includes key junctions across Amanora Hadapsar, Kharadi Bypass, Shakti Sports, Hyatt Insta, Gold Adlabs Chowk, Verde Society, Gunjan Theater Chowk, Koregaon Park, Westin/KOPA Mall, Mundhwa Chowk, Cult Terra, and Magarpatta, before concluding back at Amanora.

“This rally is not just about participation—it’s about challenging long-held stereotypes about blindness and disability,” said Anshul Mangal, Chairman of Round Table India, Area 15, during a press conference held in Pune on Wednesday. “‘Beyond Sight’ is a testament to the strength, capability, and spatial awareness of the blind community.”

He was joined at the press briefing by Dr. Arwa Chinikamwala of the Poona Blind Men’s Association, along with core team members Ronak Patodia, Sumit Gupta, Manan Shah, Gurpreet Singh, Indroneel Chatterjee, and Tarun Singh.

To ensure maximum safety and participation, all vehicles will move at controlled speeds within city limits. The event is expected to draw individuals from diverse backgrounds, all united by a common goal—showcasing how empathy and innovation can create meaningful social impact.

“Through this rally, we hope to foster greater understanding and inclusion for the visually impaired,” said Dr. Chinikamwala. “It’s a platform for celebrating their talent and for reshaping public perception.”

Round Table India has been actively involved in various community initiatives across India, particularly in education, infrastructure development, and empowerment programs. The ‘Beyond Sight’ rally is another step in its continued mission to promote dignity, awareness, and inclusion for all sections of society.
